From quote to confirmation

How Pistachio Swap works

Choose what to swap. Review the route and its costs. Sign with your wallet when you are ready. Here is what happens at each step—and what to check before funds move.

Make a swap in five steps

  1. Choose your tokens and networks

Select the token you want to sell, the token you want to receive, and an amount. Check token contract addresses, not just names or logos. The available routes depend on the chosen pair and networks.

  2. Get a quote

Pistachio Swap requests quotes from supported routing providers and compares the available results. Review the selected route, expected output, minimum received, and disclosed costs. A quote is time-sensitive, not a guaranteed execution price.

  3. Connect and review

Connect a compatible wallet or use Pistachio Wallet. Check your balance, network, destination address, price impact, and slippage. Leave enough native gas for a normal swap, or check whether Gas Assist is offered.

  4. Approve only what you understand

A token swap may require a spending approval before the swap signature. Check the spender and allowance. The app can refresh the quote after approval, so review any changed amounts before continuing.

  5. Sign and follow the transaction

Confirm only after reviewing the wallet request. Submission is not the same as confirmation: follow the transaction status and blockchain explorer. Cross-chain routes can require an additional wait for the destination leg.

Same-chain, cross-chain, or Gas Assist?

Same-chain swap
You exchange tokens on one network. Normal execution needs that network's native gas token, such as ETH or BNB, in addition to the token you sell.
Cross-chain route
You move value between networks using a supported bridge or routing provider. Review both networks, the destination asset, fees, and estimated timing. Bridge and destination execution add risks beyond a same-chain swap.
Gas Assist on BNB Chain
For eligible routes, gas is sponsored so you can swap BEP-20 tokens without already holding BNB. Costs still apply. This is not a blanket promise of gas-free swaps across networks. Learn how Gas Assist works.

Understand the quote before signing

The amount you receive is more useful than a headline exchange rate. Review the disclosed provider, network, bridge, sponsorship, and Pistachio Swap fees that apply to your route. Costs and route availability can change; use the current quote, not a fixed percentage from a guide.

  • Expected output is the amount estimated by the quote.
  • Minimum received is the reviewed lower bound enforced by the relevant swap execution. It is not a guarantee that a transaction or bridge will complete.
  • Slippage tolerance allows a limited price change. Increasing it can expose you to a worse execution price.
  • Price impact reflects how your trade affects the quoted market price, especially when liquidity is limited.

Your wallet controls the signature

Connecting a wallet is different from approving token spending or signing a swap. A spending approval grants a contract permission to use tokens up to an allowance; it does not itself complete the trade.

Confirm the spender, allowance, chain, recipient, and amount. An approval can remain on-chain after a cancelled or failed swap. Review unused permissions with a trusted allowance tool. Never approve an unexpected request simply because the page looks familiar.

If a quote or transaction does not complete

  • No route: the pair may not have a supported provider or enough liquidity. Check the network and token contract; availability is not guaranteed.
  • Quote expired: request a fresh quote and review it again. Do not sign an old request after its amounts have changed.
  • Not enough gas: normal swaps need native gas. On BNB Chain, check the eligible Gas Assist option; it is not available for every token or wallet.
  • Pending or failed: check the explorer before retrying. A normal failed transaction can still consume network gas. For an atomic sponsored Gas Assist transaction, a revert also reverts its bundled fee transfer.

Know the risks before you start

Pistachio Swap is pre-release software and has not been independently audited. Wallet, smart-contract, token, and routing risks can lead to permanent loss. Use a separate wallet and small amounts. Never share a recovery phrase or private key.
